Background

Panasonic is a global electronics and technology company known for its rugged TOUGHBOOK computing line trusted by law enforcement, fire, and EMS agencies. As part of that ecosystem, Panasonic manufactures a heads-up display (HUD) that puts critical information directly in a responder's line of sight instead of a mounted laptop.

Panasonic partnered with DigitalBlue to build the backend powering that HUD, designed for installation in thousands of emergency response vehicles.

Performance & Outcome

We developed a CJIS-compliant cloud-based API stack to provide critical information for a heads-up display (HUD) used in emergency response vehicles. The REST API provided searches for people, vehicles, incidents, and other data while integrating with restricted-access state and federal law-enforcement databases.

Architected for high availability and scalability, the stack used PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, .NET, and Azure Government to provide a secure foundation for public-safety operations.
